Monthly Musings

Monthly Musings

Welcome to November!

As we dive into this new month, I’m excited to share my Monthly Musings that I’ll be sharing every beginning of month—a collection of personal reflections and experiences. Grab a cup of tea, and let’s get cosy.

As I write this, I’m snuggled up in bed on a Saturday afternoon, just coming off a delightful nap. The kids of course, barged in an hour before our agreed wake-up time. In my classic move, I pretended to be sound asleep. They took the hint and left! If you’re a parent, you know exactly what I mean—no judgement here right?

October was quite the rollercoaster, and here are a few highlights, sprinkled with both joy and a bit of discomfort:

  • A New Personal Assistant.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m not the biggest fan of change. So when my PA got a new opportunity, I was a bundle of nerves. But finding Martha has been a blessing! She’s been a fantastic support, reminding me of the good plans God has for us, even when we can’t see them, “Jeremiah 29:11”. If you missed our recent trip to see Queen Elizabeth, check out the footage to see how well she did here-Safari at Queen Elizabeth .Martha has added so much joy to my days!

  • Joining a Business Networking Community.

As the year winds down, I felt the itch to challenge myself. I decided to join BNI (Business Network International), a network of amazing business owners. It’s been a whirlwind, but I’m already being referred to opportunities I couldn’t have accessed before. I am excited for the business growth that’s coming my way. I’ll keep you posted on how it goes—feel free to DM me on Instagram if you’re curious!

  • Safari with the Kids.

At the end of the month, the kids had a half-term break, and we took a memorable trip to the Acacia Wilderness Lodge in Mweya, thanks to my work with Travelneza. Imagine this: waking up close to buffalos, elephants, and even sneaking past hippos at night to get to our rooms. Talk about an adventure! Travelling with your kids creates memories that last a lifetime, so get out there and explore! This picture I saw online really touched my heart.

  • Business Ups and Downs

I won’t lie; October had its challenges. I found myself wondering, “Where are the clients?” Sales for both my LK business and Amia Body dipped. For those who don’t know Amia Body, I co-own this perfume store with my amazing friends and we sell gorgeous designer oil perfumes, candles, house diffusers and more. I had a few “Why, God?” moments, but I learned that these ups and downs are part of the journey. I’m keeping the faith and staying hopeful as we approach the end of the year. Just as I was writing this, I get the end of sales report for this weekend and we tripled sales!!! What! Talk about trusting God. If you are in business, stay consistent and don’t give up. • Birthday Celebrations

My little ones are growing so fast! King just turned 7, and Royal is now 2. King has memorized Romans 12:1-10, and it’s been such a blessing for both of us. Verse 4 really struck a chord with me, helping me navigate a recent business decision. And can we talk about Royal mastering toilet training? I’m so proud! Potty training as they approach the 2 year mark has been so effective and fast for all my children. But those two-year-old tantrums? Let’s just say they are keeping me on my toes. So dear toddler mom, you are not alone.
